Tenapors EPS 200 L element plus corner 100/100 (1000x500x300)
The corner element consists of two parts (L+K).
TENAPORS L EPS 200 elements for concrete slab foundations are designed for the construction of slab foundations in small timber-frame residential houses. When combined with insulation boards, the element forms a mould into which concrete is poured, creating monolithic slab foundations. This results in a solid structure that does not come into direct contact with the soil and eliminates thermal bridges. Such construction provides high resistance to soil settlement and deformation, as well as excellent thermal performance.
Thermal performance: The TENAPORS L EPS element originates from Scandinavia, where it has gained wide application due to its excellent thermal properties. The thermal conductivity coefficient of the expanded polystyrene used is λcl = 0.034 W/m·K. Long-term water absorption does not exceed 5%, ensuring the preservation of thermal performance over time.
Load-bearing capacity: TENAPORS L EPS elements are manufactured from EPS 200, with a compressive stress of 200 kPa at 10% deformation. For foundation construction, the more important parameter is long-term load resistance, which in this case is 60 kPa, equivalent to 6 t/m². Elements made from other EPS classes are available upon request, though rarely used. This technology, involving slab foundations with L EPS elements, is most commonly applied in 1–2 storey timber-frame houses in the private sector, where the long-term load resistance provided is fully sufficient. These foundations can also be used for private houses built from aerated concrete or other types of construction blocks.
